Samantha, or Sam, is a beautiful brown tabby, about three and a half years old. She is the quintessential lap cat; she loves to cuddle on her foster parents’ laps and stretch out her front legs and knead the air. She loves to be petted and scratched, and doesn’t mind being picked up. She has a cute little voice that sounds almost more like a kitten than a cat. Her foster mom says it’s a cross between a meow and a growl, like a lion cub. Sam was scared when she first came to her foster home, and likely will be a little scared at first in any new home. She will need someone to be patient with her to help her build trust. Once she starts to feel at home, her true loving nature will surely come out. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, and $175 for each cat from 1-4, and 200 for each kitten under a year old. This helps with vet exams, spaying or neutering, initial vaccinations and the combo tests. Please fill out our online pre-adoption application (http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/). To find out more about us, please visit our web site (http://thecatconnection.org/)

Hello! My name is Downey. Don't let my formal tux fool you, I am a love bug who is very happy to curl up on your lap while you watch TV (I actually prefer to stay in). Very social, I get along with other cats and have been know to chatter to get some attention (I love being groomed and pet - but do not like to be picked up). I lived w/someone a long time (I might be 8-10yo) - until she/he downsized and decided there was no room for me in the new apartment. How could that be? I take up little space but hope there is one in your heart? The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, or $200 for each kitten. We are looking for a very special home for Frankie. Frankie is a 5 yr old male with Siamese coloring. He has no papers, so we cannot guarantee that he is actually Siamese. He is not a hypoallergenic cat. He is neutered, up to date on all shots and in good health. Frankie is a very people oriented cat, but he is very excitable and needs to know that the human is boss. He can become overstimulated during play or petting and can nip, so he needs a very experienced cat owner who will be patient and consistently firm with him to control this. Frankie’s new home needs to be on the quiet side - free of dogs, small children, and other cats. He responds to his name, will sit in a lap and enjoys being held and sitting on shoulders. We’re looking for a very special person (or people) that can provide all that Frankie needs and only those who can will be considered. He is a delightful and affectionate boy who would be a perfect addition to the right forever home! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat from 1-4, and $200 for each kitten. Bambi is a five year-old orange and white cutie who had a home until his owners moved away and left him behind. He still retains his friendly nature, he gets along with everyone he meets, both people and cats. He has a mellow personality, likes his favorite spots, and gives his trademark meow when he’s waiting for his dinner. He’s a sweet boy you can’t help but like. His years outside have left Bambi FIV positive, but he is healthy and will remain that way for many years with good care and love. Won’t you give it to him? Bambi is very non-aggressive and could be friends with another non-aggressive cat. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. Maxie is a beautiful little Lynx Point Siamese cat, about a year or so old. She’s very independent, with a mind of her own; she loves to be petted but on her terms, she’ll tell you when she’s done! She follows her foster mom around, always wanting to be near her. She also greets her at the door, rubbing against her leg and purring, waiting to be acknowledged. She loves to play and can be very feisty, but also enjoys time at the window watching birds. She likely had some tough times in her past, so she can be a bit skittish and shy with strangers. But once she knows you, you’ve got a friend for life! Maxie would do best as an only cat. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. Scooter is a beautiful year old brown tiger female with white on her neck. She has a gentle disposition but needs to learn to trust humans. She does like to be in the room with her person but needs some patience to allow petting. She does love to play with the laser or with her friend Chelsea. Chelsea is gorgeous year old blue Russian female. She also needs a patient person to help her learn to trust people. She loves to play with people, especially string toys and lasers. She also likes to play with her toys under the covers on the bed! She will also eat treats from a person’s hand so it’s likely she will learn to be touched. These cats are best friends and should be adopted together. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. The first thing most people notice about River are the grey splotches above her eyes, which on an otherwise white cat look like eyebrows. Taking a closer look, people notice the fact that she has one blue and one green eye, a very striking feature. All-in-all, she is a gorgeous cat. River is about 5 years old. When she first came to us, she was on the shy side and tended to hide until she got to know someone well. She loved the other cats, however, and started to come out with groups of friendlier cats looking for pats, letting people touch her here and there, slowly learning to trust humans. Because she loves other cats and they have been so instrumental in her progress, we feel that River should be adopted with another cat, or to a home where another cat already resides. Recently, she has made incredible progress, coming out to greet people she has never met before to ask for attention. She will still need some patience as she settles into her new home and gets to know her new family, but we think it won’t be long before she is sitting at your feet, looking up at you with her beautiful eyes, asking you to pet her. Come meet this special girl! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. Julius and his brother Oliver were returned to the cat Connection recently. The owner of these two beauties could no longer keep them due to illness. Now our boys are twelve years old and once again looking for their forever home. They went to the vet, had all their shots, senior blood work to rule out any illnesses, and guess what; they are in great shape! They are beautiful and sweet and a bit shy but they respond to love and attention. They would love to find a quiet home, hopefully with someone who is home a lot and can give them lots of attention. They are asking for no young children or dogs please. Just someone to love them who they can love back and spend their senior years with. My name is Niblet and I'm a female cat. I have a sister named Needle. I think I'm called Niblet because I'm the smallest. We both have short black fur. Everyone says it's the softest fur around. We're pretty proud of it! There are a lot of black cats here in our foster home, but if you shut your eyes and we all gather round and you pet us all, you can pick us out by how soft our fur is. Some people won't adopt black cats because there's a silly superstition that we bring bad luck. That means there are a lot of black cats left in shelters. We definitely do not have the power to bring bad luck. We want the things that other cats want :litter, play time, companions, and lots of love. My sister and I love to be petted just like most other cats. We like to be around people. We don't think we'd like living with dogs or really young kids but we think we'd like older kids. We really like sleeping on a comfy bed. We're very friendly. We might be kind of shy until we get to know you and adjust to our new home. We're healthy. If I do say so myself , there's not a thing wrong with us. We just need a loving home. We were born in September of 2012 so we've been waiting a really long time for a forever home. Please fill out an application and come to meet us. I don't think you'll be disappointed! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. Quigley is a one-of-a-kind cat. It's true, he does have a hard time with new people and will probably need a period of adjustment (ie:hiding), but then he will become a complete snuggle cat. He will flop down next to you and roll on his back to have his belly rubbed and his neck and head scratched. He is a sweet, gentle cat who can peacefully coexist with another cat or cats, and will be blissfully happy as long as he gets lots of attention. He has a lot of energy and loves to play so probably should be with another cat (or a person who wants to play a LOT). About 5 years old (but he plays like a kitten!), Quigley is a gorgeous long-haired tuxedo. He is FIV positive, but he is healthy and with good veterinary care he will likely remain so for a long time. Having this big fluffy ball of love next to you on the couch would be a wonderful addition to any home. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. There is a tax-deductible donation of $150 for each cat over 4 years old, $175 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $200 for each kitten under a year old. Blair came to the Cat Connection with her brother (Baxter) as 2 adorable little balls of fluff, hers black and his gray. They were both extremely shy at first and seen only as fluffy streaks across the floor. Baxter was adopted but shy Blair is still waiting for her forever home. Blair, like many cats, needs to know you before she'll let you pet her. With a patient owner who allows Blair time to settle into her new surroundings, Blair should blossom. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. Reggie is Ronnie's brother and would like to be adopted with her if possible. They are both healthy 5-6 year-olds. He's much more handsome in person than his picture! He and Ronnie nap near each other-finding warm spots in the sun. Both have been in foster care much too long. Black cats tend to be passed by and it's a shame because they have as much love to offer as any other cat. Reggie would likely flourish in a home of his own after taking awhile to settle in and learn his away around. He would probably quietly seek out his owners for some love and attention after learning that his people aren't going anywhere and leaving him behind. He is sweet boy who loves to be petted and brushed, maybe by you? The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. Simba is a brown tiger striped tabby with white paws, and you can see where he got his name when you see his face; he has adorable lion-like features. His personality is more subdued; he was shy when he first came but soon warmed up and now loves to be petted, but is still a more reserved cat, like a quiet and dignified lion. Kevin is a beautiful long-haired black & white tuxedo kitten who was born on 7/20/10. He is very playful and gets along with all the other cats, especially his brother Kiefer. They both like to be around people and will always come over to say hello when you come in. Kevin loves to sprawl out and relax while you pat him. He loves to play with the laser light and string toys, with people and other cats. He has a very easy-going manner that is difficult not to fall in love with. He is the kind of cat that anyone would enjoy being with, and can't wait to find his forever family & make them happy! Kiefer is also a gorgeous long-haired black and white tuxedo cat, with a cute little splotch of white on his face (which makes it easy to differentiate him from Kevin). Like his brother, he is very playful, gets along with other cats, and loves to be around people. He is a bit shier than Kevin, but still loves attention and when he knows someone he will come over and ask for attention, rubbing his head on your hand to be petted. He is incredibly sweet and will be a wonderful addition to anyone’s home. The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats.
