Volunteer Liaison
Job Description
- Act as a liaison between the TCC volunteer community and the Board of Directors
- Spearhead volunteer programs as needed and recruit key volunteers to help with projects including, but not limited to, fundraising, events, and administration.
- Ensure that volunteers receive up-to-date information on TCC activities and public board decisions
- Listen to and address any concerns coming from the volunteer community. Bring concerns to the Board as needed.
- Ensure our volunteers feel appreciated and supported.
- Participate in monthly board meetings as a proactive member.
- Keep an open mind and evaluate ideas objectively and with the best interest of TCC and the cats in mind.
- Speak out with ideas and concerns if there is any activity that does not have TCC’s best interest in mind.

Operations Specialist
Job Description
- Inform organization about best practices for animal sheltering
- Research and present solutions for animal sheltering and identify areas for improvement
- Interface with volunteers to help implement change and improvements
- Continuously learn about and report to TCC cutting edge developments in animal sheltering and help shape the future of TCC
- Participate in monthly board meetings as a proactive member
- Objectively evaluate ideas with an open mind and with the best interest of TCC and the cats in mind
- Speak out with ideas and concerns if there is any activity that does not have TCC’s best interest in mind
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an animal shelter setting either as a staff or board member
- Knowledge of sheltering guidelines, laws, and best practices
- Knowledge of issues related to cat rescue
- Ability to research, learn, and articulate issues that arise
- Basic experience with feline medical issues/needs
- Ability to use a computer and a database
- Even tempered personality with an ability to act in the best interest of TCC and the cats
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in order to meet TCC goals
- Communicate effectively and professionally in person as well as via telephone, email, and text
