Hello! My name is Deanna, and I am a Calico kitty. Do you know what a Calico kitty is? It’s a cat that has a pattern in all these pretty colors. The colors are orange-red, gray-blue, and black. We come in all kinds of breeds too. Even hairless! Did you know that most of the time a Calico is female?
I am about 2.5 years old and I came to the Cat Connection with my three beautiful daughters. My family and I were found in a in the back of the Waltham Police station so they named me after the Animal Control Officer.
They say that I took my role as a mom seriously and that I was very protective of my daughters, but once they left I got to be a kitten again and opened up to my foster family. I have been staying with them for over a year, and I live with three other cats, who I love to play and nap with me. Now, I am looking for my forever home! That could be a lucky thing for you if you decide that you would like to have me join your home!
I am a little shy to start, but once I get to know you, I am very friendly and affectionate! I like humans a lot! I am playful and curious, but I am well behaved and don’t get into too much mischief. I don’t love being picked up, but I am more than happy to come sit on your lap, or snuggle with you in bed and purr up a storm. I’ve been told my fur is super soft. I love scratches and back rubs so much that you might hear me remind you with a sweet little meow.
My ideal home would include another cat (or more) to be friends with. Oh and I like a lot of attention whether from other kitties or my humans! You know, they say that Calico kitties are also very warm hearted. Are you warm hearted? Would you be warmhearted enough to adopt me? I promise you won’t be disappointed. All you have to do is give me a forever home with a little patience and love and we will be very happy together!
I am sitting here patiently waiting to hear that you got in touch with the Cat Connection to come and meet me and take me home! Can you see how I have my front paws tucked underneath me? That is kitty patience, in case you didn’t know.
