CatNAPS Spay/Neuter Assistance Program

The Cat Connection is working towards ending cat overpopulation by providing community-wide low-cost spay/neuter programs for owned cats.

Spaying and neutering cats is very important because it:

• Reduces potential health and behavioral problems of pet cats.
• Reduces the chance of cats trying to escape outside.
• Reduces the potential for unwanted kittens if cats get outside.
• In extreme cases, reduces the chance that owners relinquish their cats and/or kittens when they have no other options to care for them.

These procedures have an average cost of about $190, which is a greatly reduced rate based on our relationships with local vet clinics.

Spay/neuter operations cost far more for the general public and are prohibitively expensive for many people. Therefore, we have designed the CatNAPS program to assist community members that are looking for financial assistance for this procedure.

We have designed the CatNAPS program to assist community pet owners and provide the encouragement, motivation, and means to spay or neuter their pets.
