Supporting The Cat Connection in the New Year

Thank you for your generous support of The Cat Connection over the years. Because of your deep commitment to saving cats in need, we have helped more than 3,000 cats over 20 years!

It has been a little over a year since the opening of our state-of-the-art, no-kill, fear-free shelter in Brighton. To date this year, we have found homes for over 225 cats – an increase of more than 350% over last year! This would not have been possible without support from you and our 90+ wonderful volunteers who perform the daily feeding, cleaning, and socializing of our feline friends while they await their forever homes.

Cid, an all black cat with neurological issues that has been helped by generous donations from supporters of The Cat Connection.

Our achievements are not limited to the number of cats we help, but also include the extra special cats we help. This year we took in Cid, a very special little black kitty. Sweet Cid came to us nearly blind with severe neurological symptoms making walking and balancing difficult. A neurologist determined he has a brain malformation and may someday need surgical intervention to improve his quality of life.

With the medical care your donations allowed us to provide via our recent GoFundMe campaign, he is now a happy, playful cat living his best life in a wonderful forever home! But we couldn’t have done it without your help.

Of course, Cid is just one of the many special needs cats we help. We hope we can count on you to help more by responding to this letter as generously as you can. Your gift, whether large or small, is fully tax-deductible, but more importantly, goes directly to fulfilling The Cat Connection’s mission of saving feline lives and supporting our community of cats.

We have many options to donate, including legacy shelter naming opportunities, supplies for the shelter that can be ordered through our Amazon and Chewy wishlists, and of course, donations via our website donation page.

We also have a new initiative, the Feline Friends Society – a tiered program that recognizes and rewards your automatic monthly charitable contributions to The Cat Connection. Becoming a member of the Feline Friends Society demonstrates your ongoing commitment to rescuing and rehoming abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and kittens. Learn more about the Society and how to join by contacting Anne Thessen at annethessen@gmail.com or (781) 899-4610.

We and the cats in our care are enormously grateful for your support. To donate:

  • Make checks payable to “The Cat Connection” and mail to: The Cat Connection 2022 Appeal
    P.O. Box 541435, Waltham, MA 02454

On behalf of the entire Cat Connection organization and the many kitties who will be touched by your kindness, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

With gratitude,

Taline Lorensian, President-Elect
